Good Sunday Morning medarlings!
I have been quite busy this week as I've just started on my new job! Thus the lack of updates *grinz*

Well i'm back to work in an office and in the legal line to boot. Ah well can't be fussy in this bad economy but surprisingly so far I kinda enjoy the work. Tho my knowledge of legal processes etc are a bit on the rusty side I'm re-learning and refreshing my memory as I go along, plus the work in the office is not concentrated to one area of law which is awesome, so i don't get bored easily LOL. It ranges from criminal cases to civil cases I currently kinda like support all the lawyers who has anything for me to do, from legal research to drafting of letters. The pace is still quite okay as i'm still new, tho i expect it to pick up and i hope i can handle it when it comes to crunch time. *fingers crossed*

I am still getting used to having to waking up early as compared to how i usually have been waking up at noon for the past few months. LOL I now walk to Tampines MRT station from home coz waiting for the bus service to the interchange is such a biatch and when the bus comes its usually full. I figured it'll be a lot faster if i walked, plus i get some morning exercise at the same time!

Falling sick midway through the first week of work is very unpleasent. I had sore throat, running nose, non-stop sneezing and an oncoming feeling of fever. I highly suspect that my system is somewhat sensitive to dust thus the above symptoms coz now over the weekend the awful feeling i have been having has subsided. By Friday I was fed up with the sneezing and running noze in the office that I found some wet wipes in my desk drawer and proceeded to wipe the surfaces of my surrounding work area. I think i'm going to do that everyday before I start work.haha

And what better thing could have cheered me up after a long week of work than Arashi's 2009-2010 Calendar!!!!!
Yes I've finally collected it from Kino after procrastinating. Well also because I was waiting for the Spring discount promotion for members to take effect haha! 20% discount!! woot! So i ended up having paid less than $40 for the calendar wheeeeee~

Oh and an exciting discovery that i just had to blog about! Met up with T.ania, MX & Ling.na on Saturday at Northpoint for Dinner and we found ourselves at the new wing of the mall after walking aimlessly in search of a place to eat. And we came across Ishi Mura, a japanese themed foodcourt! wahhhh We decided to try it out and i LOVE the place! They should have one in Tampines and one in City Hall so I can patronize it everyday! (^-^)v

Me and T.ania decided to try the ebi okonomiyaki and since I was hungry I wanted to try the omelette rice as well. The okonomiyaki looks kinda different to me. I wonder if Singapore has those japanese okonomiyaki restaurants where you can cook your own like those they have in Japan. I would love to try that! Maybe if i visit Japan one day hehe
My salmon omelette rice was yummy! The omelette was all fluffy just the way I like it and the sauce was not 'jelak', it was sure a whole lot better than the local pattaya rice. yumm!

Fooood! )

Arashi's brand new single, Believe, is my current earworm! It constantly plays in my head all day and it helps that its my current favourite song! I listen to it everyday. I also watch their PV on my ipod when i'm on the train on the way home I kinda love it because the song is kinda like a motivational song too if you listen to their lyrics. wheee~

have a good one!

p.s. - T.ania T.ay! Get well soon!!! Don't strain your foot too much!! (^-^)

You know what i like about festive season lurking around the corner?
The food that comes along with it!

like when during xmas Starbucks will never fail to have their peppermint mocha drink and now with chinese new year around the corner, there's the prosperity burger and twister fries! yum!
its all about food people!

its a wonder i'm still skinny.
oh speaking of which i gained 4kg since the last time i checked my weight ages ago.
yay! *does happy dance*
tho it would certainly be helpful if i gained weight in the right places. wahahahhahahaha

today is an extremely lazy monday
apart from the urgent task i had to do as soon as i stepped into the office
i have done nothing else except for uploading photos in my baldi gambar aka photobuckettt.
and i'm still not done yet! I have tons of photos and i'm not even uploading all of em'!

I miss my sister tho it has only been what four days? and i've been talking to her on skype every night.
I miss her even more so when i want to do things that i would usually call her to do together, like watch a movie.
Siblings are the top most people you can truly rely on and the fact that my other siblings are still young and it is a school night. sigh.

I sooo wanna watch National Treasure 2! Maybe i should wait when the DVD comes out or when it is shown on cable.

Its lunch time now and I'm too lazy to step out of the office to buy food. Everything that i can is closed and the only thing left in the vicinity of the part of chinatown i am in only has macdonalds and trusty ol' 7-eleven. oh and i do have that stash of instant noodles somewhere beside my desk. lol.

ok maybe i should just go to MacDonalds.
aite peeps till then =)

"your first asian idol is..."

my gut was already telling me, I won't be surprised if its Hady Mirza.

"Hady Mirza from Singapore!"

O_o"... i turned to my sister, "adik did i hear that correctly?"

"yes Hady won!"

and we all started screaming. and it was close to midnight mind you.
wahahahhahaha
oh my goodness Hady Mirza is the first Asian Idol!

and there you have it,
when my gut feeling is really strong it is never wrong!
lol!

even tho i didn't watch the performance show except for snippets that was shown during the voting time period.  I do agree that it wasn't Hady's best performance and according to my sister, talents from Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines were loads better. And even tho Singapore's disadvantage is that we are a smaller nation among the rest, the voting system i reckon helped Hady alot. Hady is one lucky dude.
All in all, my heartfelt congratulations to him. As much as there are many voices of disagreements of who should have won, hey there are all still winners in their own right aye? (^-')b

I actually just got back to the office from a Christmas buffet lunch with the team and one of our clients. Daymn i am FULL. Couple this with the current cool rainy weather and I am ready to fall asleep! lol!

I LOVE BUFFETS! <3

The past few days has really been a gastronomical pleasing. Tis' the season i suppose. hehe..
on the other hand its kinda like "eat all you think you can eat now coz in europe you'll be suffering muahahhahah" feeling. wahahahaha!

Approx. 31hours before I fly off to Konstanz, Germany with Na.zu.rahhhhh.
wootwoot! I'm extremely excited and nervous all at the same time.
Heard from my aunt who lives there that its getting colder every day! I hope I packed enough thermals/shirts/sweaters to last me during my week there.

oklah i need to quickly wrap somethings and go off to do some errands before my trip tomorrow.
Shall leave you guys with photos!

My birthday weekend two weekends ago was a blast. Spent it with people i wanted to spend it with the most, well except for a few missing here and there but its okay.

One thing about meeting up with friends that I have not seen for quite a while sometimes feels like a family reunion. Family reunion in the sense of questions that are often asked during these kind of gatherings.
Questions like:
"So any new boyfriend?"
"Until when you want to stay single?"
"Are you sure you're still single?"
"Don't you have anyone you like at the moment?"
"You want me to find someone for you?"

^_^ "

Now is it so wrong to stay perfectly happy in 'single-dom'?
Finefine there are those depressing moments when you are surrounded by couples and you're like the odd one out. But look on the bright side. Firstly I don't need to worry about anyone else's affairs except for myself, I don't need to 'report' my whereabouts to anybody except for my mum of course if i'm going to be home v.late and i can spend my money only on myself and my family and friends.

My usual answer to my friends would be, I usually scare off men.
Sometimes i honestly think i do.
Here are 5 reasons i think why:
1 - I am often told that i look 'fierce' even when i don't mean to
2 - I am taller than the average singapore women
3 - When my good opinion of a person/guy is gone then its pretty hard to convince me otherwise
4 - I hardly dress up, I'm usually in t-shirt and jeans, even for work (may not be relevant here but sometimes more often than not ppl always think i'm a student)
5 - I'm not the easiest person to love

so there you go. Maybe next time when i'm being asked the same kind of questions, i should just refer them to this blog entry and save me from having to repeat myself. lol.

Well back to the topic on my birthday,
I know i owe people photos, my apologies, i will send them asap!
Summary of photos under cut:

Birthday Madness: the summary )

In other news...
Last week was pretty eventful. Start out feeling sick in the beginning of the week, sore throat + flu + cough+fever, but dragged myself to work nonetheless, then there was the Animation Nation screenings that i promised to watch with my fourth brother. Somehow that week was pretty much 'suay'. haiz.
AND the most humorous part of the week was when i became 'cinderella' on Thursday evening well except for the magic and prince charming part which was missing.

What happened on that fateful day was that I had a dinner thingy at ECP with a group of people who was involved in a project that the company is managing. As T.ania and myself were invited, we arrived there about 15 minutes earlier and decided to sit at the breakwater to kill time and chat. So when it was time to proceed to the restaurant, as we were standing up, my left sandal suddenly slipped off my feet and slid down the breakwater into the sea. Both of us didn't dare to try and retrieve it as the current/waves looked too strong. So there I was standing with only one sandal on my feet. Since i can't possible walk with only one sandal, took off the remaining one and went barefooted throughout the whole evening. LoL. I'm sure M.atthew enjoyed my misfortune since he looked like he enjoyed telling everyone that sat beside him about my predicament tsktsk.. This was probably one of the most hilarious thing that has happened to me. Well better the sandal than me right? Like what Mrs Tan said, that dinner will be an event that i will never forget. haha.. Anyways thanks again M.atthew for the ride back home, much appreciated. (^-^)

13 more days before my trip!
I am uberly excited! I know Naz is too!
I find myself buying loads of things that i need in preparation for our trip and I've got to stop spending if I want to have any spending money during the trip. Hopefully I now have everything i need.
